ROBIN ROURKE
Award-winning landscape designer/builder Robin Rourke has been perfecting his craft for well over 30 years. From his college days working as a part-time landscaper to his professional career as a member of the California Landscape Contractors' Association (CLCA), Robin has designed, managed and executed projects in a multitude of formats: agricultural and vegetable centers, entertaining and swimming pool patios, water features, children's play areas, orchards and vineyards. But Robin's experience and service isn't just in design - his motto is Endearing and Enduring. He accomplishes both by his hands-on, meticulous attention to details such as re-working the curve of a lawn until it's perfect for the client and the geography of the site. One part of his work he finds particularly enjoyable is seeing one of his jobs well cared for and where all elements have come together as planned. Robin ensures the landscape designs and client relationships his company creates continue to thrive by offering Metrofolia's maintenance service. His clients grow accustomed to his quality of service from the beginning of the planning process through on-going interactions generating significant repeat and referral business for the company. Robin's creative side is cultivated outside of the garden too: painting watercolors, creating sculptures and playing and composing on guitar with his local band BLAME IT ON THE DOG nurture his creative talents in music and fine arts.
TERESA ROURKE
Drawing upon her extensive administrative background, Teresa Rourke co-founded Metrofolia with her husband Robin. Having held positions at major corporations such as DHL and managing chiropractic offices in Hawaii and California, Teresa's expertise is employed for the business side of the company to ensure Metrofolia's clients receive the best in customer care. Teresa also manages all of the marketing needs of the business utilizing her computer and digital design training. Teresa is not just about the numbers - she, too, has a creative side that adds to the unique personality of Metrofolia. Early in her career she worked with interior plantscaping (and might still be sweet-talked into creating them) and has a love of photography. Together, the Rourke's bring the best combination of creativity, organization and focus to all of your landscaping needs.
CREW Skilled craftsman. Excel in their field. Long-standing. Dedicated. Each of these can be said of the people working on Metrofolia's crew. These traits, as well as specific roles and responsibilities, are what create a fabulous creation and experience for our clients. The Supervisor's responsibility is overall job site management: prepping the site setup, managing materials, and arranging interactions between all of the sub-contractors. Foremen specialize in specific technical aspects of the project - the detail experts in masonry, horticulture, irrigation design, etc. The Installation Technicians are highly skilled workers making the plans become a reality. All of the supervisors and foremen have been with the company for over 12 years and each of the installation technicians has at least 5 years of service with Metrofolia. The synergy and teamwork which come from a crew like this are unmatched and will show in the quality of your landscape project.
